Is GKS 2027 open yet?
Not yet. As of July 2026, NIIED has not published the official 2027 GKS schedule, and no GKS degree cycle is open right now. Based on the usual calendar, the next round to open is GKS-U (undergraduate), typically around September, followed by GKS-G (graduate) around February — but the exact 2027 dates are confirmed only when NIIED posts them.

Recent cycles (a record, not a prediction)
In the 2024, 2025, and 2026 cycles, GKS-U opened in September and closed applications between late September and October, with final results in December. GKS-G opened in January–February and closed in late February, with final results at the end of June. These are past facts; the 2027 dates will differ once NIIED announces them.
Is GKS 2027 announced yet?
Not yet. As of July 2026, NIIED has not published the official 2027 GKS application schedule, guidelines, or quotas. Any "2027 dates" circulating on third-party blogs are unofficial and are often copied from an earlier cycle — confirm only against the official GKS notice board.
